Using TargetScan on other species

Can TargetScan be used without having to find all the genes it uses to construct their UTR database on other species? As you may know, TargetScan uses a multiple alignment of the 3' UTRs of the same gene in different species, and it is essential to the feature know as "Probability of conserved targeting".

Will it affect too much the output if I don't use the 3'UTRs of other species?

In the discussion of the new version of targetscan, it is mentioned that some features of the context++ model allow to find nonconserved targets
