Jupyter and Anaconda not downloading for me

Hi,

I can't seem to get anaconda, ipython or Jupyter to open for me... I have downloaded, home brew, pip (both of which seem to work), ipython, anaconda and Jupyter, all successfully. But for ipython- the "ipython notebook" command returns "command not found". I'm told that I need this command to open Jupyter.... furthermore commands beginning with "conda" don't work for me even when I'm in the anaconda directory (which came with my downloading of anaconda).

Please Help
