Hello,
I had a quick question regarding CDS listing from the nucleotide database. I looked up my query:
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/nuccore/825206210
and as I scrolled down to see the CDS's, I found 7. The first two are unique, but CDS's 3-7 are the same exact sequences, but with different protein_id's. At first I thought maybe these were different transcripts, but they all appear to have the same protein sequence as well.
What does this mean? I was thinking it's the same sequence that was duplicated when sequencing, but I'm not sure why there are five of the same regions listed - seems redundant.
Thank you!

Hi,
They are different transcripts (isoforms) of the same gene, but they differ in their structures not in their sequences (not so common)
