TreeGraph 2: How to hide tip labels and display tips as circles

My lab makes phylogenetic tree figures in Matlab, which doesn't show tip labels on the tree, and puts circles at the tips. For most people I think this would be bad. For example, if you are saying you've discovered the relationships between dolphin species, the whole point of your figure would be to show where each dolphin species is on the tree, which requires using the species name as tip labels. However in our lab we are only interested in the tree topology, not the identities of the individuals.

I've begun to use TreeGraph 2, and perhaps fallen in love with it. I've heard it scales poorly to large trees, but for our trees (<100 taxa) it works wonderfully. However there's one thing I can't figure out how to do with it. I want to mimic the style of our Matlab trees, and plot without tip labels, putting some icon such as a circle at the tips instead. However I cannot find any way to hide tip labels or to place such icons.

What am I missing? Or is this just impossible?

EDIT: E-mailed TreeGraph2 authors. Confirmed that this is not possible directly, but suggested some workarounds.
