Hi guys,

I have approximately 82 files that are in the bigBed format, unfortuanately, chromHmm does not accept files in the bigBed format and I need to convert these files in to Bed format. However, I am having lots of difficulties doing so. I downloaded the kent directory, which has all the utilities need to convert between format. However, I am not entirely sure how to use the application. I need my MACHTYPE variable which I have, but I am not sure how to obtain the path to pnglib.a. Where should I download this from, and which directory should I download this to? Also not sure how to download MySQL, which repository should I use and where should I download to.
Some guidance would be much appreciated, so far I've been following this article:
