sequencing through heterochromatin (e.g. with PacBio)

I have noticed that some people suggested they have been able to sequence through heterochromatin with PacBio. What's your experience? Could you point me to the relevant links/publications?

And second question, how one predicts these regions from the sequence only (without looking at the histone marks)?

Thanks for sharing your experience.

On this blog post they discuss whole genome assembly, but there is a paragraph at the end discussing the Y chromosome, which in Drosophila is mostly heterochromatin. I don't know if it has been published, but you can download the data.
