State of art gene prediction tools for grass genomes

Hi, I'm new to field of gene prediction. Are there any review papers or tutorials talking about the state of art gene prediction tools for grass genomes, like rice, maize and wheat etc. As far as I know, there are some specifications for grass genes, like GC content. Thanks very much.

You could train any decent gene prediction tool with closest relative genomes..

You could read that paper it is an exellent review. http://www.nature.com/nrg/journal/v13/n5/full/nrg3174.html For that kind of purpose I would look at the MakerP annotation pipeline.

Thanks, this is a very good review paper. However, I don't know whether this paper includes the latest tools for gene prediction/annotation, since it was published in 2012.
