Color Gradient is not working in R

I have a table of 33291 rows. When I try to plot the graph with gradient colour using colorRampPalette command but the out put graph is colourless or in black colour. But when I try the same command with small values it is working why it so?

Color <- colorRampPalette(c("red","blue"))
plot(x,y,col=Color(33292))
r
  1. Post the command
  2. This isn't a bioinformatics question, you should ask this on an R forum.
  3. You won't be able to distinguish between 33291 colors.

That also shows that this question has no connection to bioinformatics. You need to look at a basic r plotting tutorial, and in addition read ?plot and ?colorRampPalette. If you do this you will find the reason for the error most likely.

Hello sreenath.rajur!

We believe that this post does not fit the main topic of this site.

Not bioinformatics related, or relation to bioinformatics not sufficiently demonstrated.

For this reason we have closed your question. This allows us to keep the site focused on the topics that the community can help with.

If you disagree please tell us why in a reply below, we'll be happy to talk about it.

Cheers!

R is not a part of bioinformatics? Or there is no use of R in bioinformatics? Then why did you put the tag R and what you mean by bioinfo question?

We reject pure programming questions on a regular basis, in your question, you failed to provide a reasonable connection to bioinformatics, that is why it was closed. Some R questions are related to bioinformatics questions, but not all, as well as some perl questions, but not all. Otherwise this discussion has been around since the beginning, and I am not going to engage in it again.
