Gel Electrophoresis of Mitochondrial Genome
I'm working on the mitochondrial genome extraction and isolation. But I'm not sure how to check the DNA quality and quantity using gel electrophoresis. I have tried to run 1% agarose gel under 90V for 80min. But none of the mitogenomic DNA were shown on the gel. Nanodrop showed me that there should be some DNA. So, could anyone help me to figure out a way to run the gel successfully, or provide me some suggestions if you have experiences doing the similar work? I appreciate any suggestion. Thanks!
