We are looking for motivated postdoctoral fellows to join a growing research group of statistical and population genetics at the Genome Institute of Singapore (GIS). GIS is a national flagship program for genome sciences in Singapore under the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR). GIS locates at the Biopolis Biomedical Research Hub in Singapore, a vibrant research community consisting of several research institutes and biomedical companies. With exceptional genotyping, sequencing, and computational infrastructure, GIS aims to promote world-class research in genome sciences.

Successful applicants will have the opportunities to work on both collaboration projects to study human genetic diseases and projects on developing computational and statistical methods to tackle cutting-edge research questions arise from large-scale generic and genomic data. More information about our research can be found on our webpage. We also encourage trainees to propose their own projects under the research theme of the lab. Postdoctoral fellows will receive quality mentorship and training to help achieve their professional goals. Highly competitive salary and benefits will be provided.

Requirements:

  • Ph.D. in computer sciences, (bio)statistics, bioinformatics, genetics, or related fields.
  • Strong quantitative research background and computational skills.
  • Experience on analyzing large-scale genetic/genomic data sets is desirable.
  • Demonstrated excellence in research (e.g., high-quality publications).
  • Good communication skills in English.
