Your Favorite Bioinformatics Blogs (October 2011)

Let's revisit this topic on a yearly basis. Unlike last year I propose to list no more than three blogs per answer. My recent favorites:

Homologous: "Frontier in Transcriptomics": http://www.homolog.us/blogs/2011/10/20/burrow-wheeler-transform-suffix-arrays-and-fm-index/

My three top tips:

  1. "Pathogens: Genes and Genomes", though not completely bioinformatics focussed, has more than enough to keep me interested.
  2. I love Sean Eddy's lab's blog, "Cryptogenomicon".
  3. And Ewan Birney has been writing interesting, if infrequent things on "Bioinformatician at Large"

Since last year, I've become a big fan of:

Bits of DNA

Reviews and commentary on computational biology

Xiaole Shirley Liu's Blog Site

COMPUTATIONAL GENOMICS, CANCER EPIGENETICS, MINING BIG DATA

My bioinformatics blog: https://www.dna-ghost.com/. Welcome to comment. It covers bioinformatics and cancer genomics

That's a beautiful website! However, I'd recommend not plugging your own blog in here, as that is more of an advertisement than a recommendation.

Sorry if I let you feel that way
