Downloading the protein from the genome of a specie

How can I download from Blast or Genbank the entire dna sequence for a specific protein in that organism?

I plan to open my files in a software and align then compare them to the DNA sequence of the protein of the species.

I want to compare it to a few DNA segments I have from the species I'm studying.

dna genome blast sequence

Go on NCBI, search in the nucleotide DB your protein using its name of ID.

Here an example for hemoglobin. If you look at the results, for each hits below the line containing the "Accession: ..." there are different options. Click "Fasta".

Now you have the gene for the protein hemoglobin.
