Human Gen Characterization
I must to create a database to store Human genes.
To do that, I went to NCBI and I took p53 gene as example. All that I found was locus JF923572. Is it enough to characterization of human gene? That means, my database will only have 1 field? I wast think something like a path. For example: Chromosome 15, upper arm, .... I don't know what more....., p53 (then we arrive in the gene it self). Is there a place or book where I could find this information?
