I downloaded and installed the program and its dependencies according with the manual.

I checked the capacity of my PC (> 40 Gb memory).

I try then to run the test as suggested

checkm test ~/checkm_test_results

But the program return an error. I think there is an issue with the call to hmmer. But I did not manage to figure out which one.

Any idea how could I fix this?

EDIT

the problem was that in my PATH there was hmmer 2.4. Instead CheckM need >= 3.1b1. Changing that the program worked perfectly.
