Genome project workflow
Dear All,
I would like to know the all steps of a genome project workflow. I will be working on a genome project next year. So, I need to know why and when we run some Bionformatics programs and tools in a genome project (genome annotate, assembly etc.). Could anyone please explain me the workflow of a genome projects?

What is a genome project? NGS de novo assembly? Whole genome sequencing?
NGS de novo assembly.
Prokaryote or Eukaryote?
Eukaryote. Actually, We will have genome sequences of 5 different species, and compare these 5 sequences to 2 different species.
7 species belong to the same genus.
