Job: Bioinformatics beginner or student (on-site in Biloxi Mississippi or remotely)

A young startup is looking for a team member with understanding of microbiology and data analysis. You can read more about our company at our website: pine-biotech.com. We are building an interactive platform for bioinformatics analysis:

Pine Biotech is a bioinformatics research and technology company. We have developed a flexible platform to help mine, analyze and interpret big data for biotech and agrotech projects. The platform allows multiple pipelines dependent on goals of the project, such as RNA-Seq, CHIP-Seq, Virology, Proteomics, Metabolomics and others.

We are currently expanding and improving the platform which is in alpha-stage. We are collaborating with research partners to develop sample projects that show the capability of the platform. Here is an example (WIP version):

Our international staff and support team includes university faculty and industry professionals with expertise in microbiology and bioinformatics. We are looking to connect with people in these areas:

  • bioinformatics
  • bio-medicine
  • agriculture (biotech)
  • bio-fuels
  • big data analytics
  • bioinformatics education

We recently completed the installation of new HPC server equipment for data analysis and storage in Dallas,TX. These servers are built to accommodate complex analysis of big data and further expansion of the platform.

As a new startup, we are exploring all options going forward. On-site is preferred, but remote would definitely be considered.

It's unclear if you're looking for someone to work locally (it appears you're in Biloxi, yes?) or remotely. If you could update your post to specify that then you'll get more appropriate inquiries.
