How frequently are the annotation packages or probe ids updated in the Bioconductor?

Have you examined the bioconductor documentation for these? Each package will have a Reference Manual in PDF format, e.g. hgug4111a.db that will have descriptions for the package, often including dates and versions of annotation sources (in this case September 2014).
