Error: Allocate vector size in R - Running in server (not local)

I am running in to this problem of memory allocation (Error: cannot allocate vector of size xxxMb) when try to run R script in a server: R script calculates Pvalue from the output of ProbAbel.

server memory allocation: IBM iDataPlex Linux #1.2.6.32.46-0.3-default LOAD LEVELER 4.1.1.3

# @ resources=ConsumableCpus(1) ConsumableMemory(24gb)
# @ job_type = serial
# @ class = A

R sessioninfo:

R version 2.10.0 (2009-10-26)
x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu
locale:

attached base packages:

Most of the troubleshoots advised here in this page are attributed to local machines

Any help would be great... let me know if you need additional details

Thanks

Your process is running out of memory. Please ask for help on such errors - using the latest version of R and BioC and providing a reproducible example including file sizes - to either BioC or R-help, your R version is 5 years old, you won't receive any helpful comments without using the latest version there either. Hint: difference between local and server is irrelevant here.
