Has anyone else successfully installed the Roche 454 software suite on their machine and had it work? I can't tell if I've really botched the install (although it was automated), or if the software is very buggy. I can't ever seem to get the GUI to function correctly, and attempts to get the CLI components to work hasn't worked that much better.
For whatever reason, I can only add reference fasta files to my multiplex projects. Whenever I click the "+" button to add samples to my project, the dialogue menu doesn't ever open, or it opens and I select a file, but after hitting select the file doesn't appear in my project. I've attempted to run the "addSample" program to add samples to projects but that isn't working either. The addSamples project will complete, but upon opening the gsMapper program again, I don't see anything in my project.
Anyone have any ideas?
Has anyone had any experience installing just the 454 Data Analysis software on RHEL or Fedora? If you have got it working did you use the CLI or GUI? Could you post your uname -a of the system it is on? Did you have to make any changes or modifications?
Really anything would be of use right now...
