How to send signals from Beckman Coulter Biomek FXP and NX to my custom app

Hi all,

If I have one Beckman Coulter Biomek FXP and one NX machine. I want to listen status of these robots and keep tracking of their execution by external app.

What is the best way to do this?

(I very new to all bio industry, so please forgive me if I use wrong terms here).

When I last worked with the Biomek two years ago, the integration solutions were pretty out-of-date. Beckman-Coulter has written a set of OLE Control Extensions for their robotic platforms, including the Biomek line. Beckman-Coulter has a message board where you can ask about the specifics. When I worked with scripting, I had to purchase a manual from the company, along with a license for the OCX drivers.

A quick search reveals that this is still their solution and that nothing new has been written since the OCX drivers.
