.SMS format file
I have some sequencing data which has extension of .sms. I was wondering is there any option to convert this sms format file to fastq or any other txt file. I browse around on web and could not find anything. Before writing back to vendor I want to check I may not be missing something.

Have you tried opening the file as text to see what the format looks like? Is it a binary file? The file extensions mean close to nothing if the person that sent you the file doesn't have a clue.
