I wasn't not using BioStar for some time but previously have collected enough Bioinformatics resources links. Here it goes.

• OpenHelix - List of free tutorials which are mostly related to Biotools. My favorite one.

• Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics- Has got different tutorials for proteomics, Genomics, Workshop. Most importantly SIB arrange courses and workshop on regular basis.

• Funet from CSC Finland- They have extensive depository of different Bio-seminars videos with excellant materials.

• IMA - Statistical Methods for Gene Expression: Microarrays and Proteomics, though old worthy to mention.

• WIBR Bioinformatics and Research Computing - Related to Microarray

• Bioinformatcs Tutorials- Bioinformatics related applications.

• ANGUS - Next Generation Sequencing

• VideoCulture.net -Bioinformatics Talks, event, Videos

• Web Seminar - They organize seminar with different aspect of biology, biochemistry, Bioinformatics, Statistics.

• National Institute of Health (NIH) - Just search with Bioinformatics term and you will find enough Bioinformatics resources.

• Perl & Unix for Bioinformatics - Can't exclude this one

For the time being this much, hope it helps

I find the Canadian Bioinformatics Workshops (CBW) series (http://bioinformatics.ca/) the most useful. It contains series of downloadable lectures (http://bioinformatics.ca/workshops/) from basics of Bioinformatics to the current issues. And above all CBW promotes open access !!

I have found this course collection to be helpful. It contains four different sections (Introductory bioinformatics, Structural bioinformatics, computer skills for biotechnology and bioinformatics in target identification and validation). In addition there is also archive for other relevant topics like computer aided drug design. I also did free course on Pharmaceutical Bioinformatics offered by Uppsala University and was really useful. In addition, students can access free courses from MITlike Computational Functional Genomics.

Ensembl has a YouTube channel of videos, and pdf tutorials all accessible here:

Any feedback on those would be welcome.

Specific to Systems Biology though, but still worth mentioning I guess: The book "Bioinformatics for Systems Biology" is available for free in PDF form.
