Job: Graduate Program Coordinator for Bioinformatics Dept, UNC Charlotte

Greetings from UNC Charlotte Bioinformatics and Genomics.

My Dept. just lost our much-loved, incredibly dedicated and hard-working graduate coordinator Elise Marshall and is now looking to hire some-one new. She leaves big shoes to fill, but we hope that the Dept, the students, and the chance to live in Charlotte, NC (bright lights, big city!) will draw a terrific candidate to our door. In just two years (give or take) a new light rail line that connects downtown (fun place to live) to the university campus will open, which means you could enjoy the urban lifestyle w/o the hassles of car-commuting.

We have a diverse group of faculty covering major areas of bioinformatics, and the students are also a diverse group. Some just finished their Bachelors, others are returning to school to retrain for a new career, some are international students, and many are Carolina born-and-raised. The program is expanding and we are recruiting more students every year. So if you like working with people, have experience working with students, and enjoy helping learners of all ages and backgrounds achieve their academic and professional goals, please consider applying.
