What distinguishes bioinformatics from computer science?
My query perhaps sound trivial but I'm truly perplex about the difference between computer science and bioinformatics. When both uses the same software such as java, c, c++, phyton, sql etc and both uses computer.

Bioinformatics is basically the intersection of biology with statistics and computer science, so there will be some definite overlap. The main difference is that CS doesn't require any knowledge of biology, which I would say is absolutely required in bioinformatics (otherwise, you're just another programmer).
