Comparative & Integrative Genomics lab - Professor Dr. Klaas Vandepoele

Our objective is to extract biological knowledge from large-scale experimental data sets using data integration, comparative sequence and expression analysis, and network exploration. Through the development and application of various bioinformatics tools (e.g. comparative sequence analysis, cross-species gene expression analysis, ChIP-Seq and cis-regulatory elements analysis) we try to identify new aspects of genome biology, especially in the area of gene function prediction, gene regulation and evolutionary biology.
