I study the molecular biology of plant-pathogen interactions at McMaster University. The plant I generally work on is Arabidopsis (although there is some work with Nicotiana benthamiana and cucumber). The pathogen we work with is Pseudomonas syringae (variety depends on the host but for Arabidopsis is generally Pst DC3000).

The lab I am in works on development of age-related resistance and investigation of signals that contribute to systemic acquired resistance.

I have some background in RNA-seq analysis although am always interested to learn more.
