Manuel Corpas
I am a lead developer of the DECIPHER database, a “DatabasE of Chromosomal Imbalance and Phenotype in Humans using Ensembl Resources”. The DECIPHER database is hosted at the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute. Its main aim is to collect genotype and phenotype patient information from hospitals and research institutions around the world to help diagnose and catalogue developmental diseases. I was awarded a PhD in Computer Science by the University of Manchester for an algorithm I developed to enhance the classification of protein families using sequence and structural signatures.
