I am doing Ph. D. in Virology (planning to submit thesis soon). Earlier I was trying to avoid Bioinformatics as my nature of work was wet lab.  But during the course of Ph. D I realized Bioinformatics plays important part in research. Almost every wet lab work requires Bioinformatics at the beginning and at the end for comparison with own set of data.
