My name is Bryan and I'm currently studying at California State University, Fullerton as an undergraduate in biochemistry. My research involves looking at the evolution of a cellular heat stress response protein (HSP70). My work requires repetitive access to NCBI's databases, and with a former interest in programming I have taken on learning biopython to automate tedious blasting. 

I'm new to the Biostars community and I'm very happy to be here to learn and share (my novice expertise) of bioinformatics.
