Patrick completed his Ph.D. in Neurobiology at the University of Chicago under the mentorship of Kevin White. His graduate work focused on identifying the genetic basis of rare Mendelian disorders with novel neurological phenotypes. Currently, his research interests include the development of methods to better understand the role of genetic background in complex neuropsychiatric disorders, and in the development of novel high-throughput assays to identify the genetic elements necessary to produce specific neural phenotypes.
