Jeremy Schwartzentruber
I am a PhD student at the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute, in Cambridge, UK. I study regulatory genomics, and work to build models that will help us to better predict which genetic variants causally affect gene expression and complex traits.
Prior to this I did analysis exome sequencing data in rare disease patients at Genome Quebec in Montreal, Canada. My background is diverse -- M.Sc. in Biophysics (fluorescence microscopy analysis), studies in biology & chemistry, and I was a software developer for 8 years in the U.S, though I am originally from Canada.
