I am a graduate student attending Northeastern University Boston online and studying for my professional master's in biotechnology, with a specialization in bioinformatics. I am proficient in Python, R, and Bash, and I am learning how to develop algorithmic programs for DNA analysis in the classes I am currently enrolled in. I have an undergraduate degree in Molecular & Cellular Biology with a minor in Physiological Psychology from the University of Arizona. I am interested in working in bioinformatics for genomic and metabolomic data analysis, coming from a nearly 20-year career in private healthcare. My experience in healthcare allowed me to witness the practical applications of scientific discoveries, as well as the many shortcomings that still remain. This is what motivated me to return to scool for my master's, with a passion for bridging the gaps between technology and therapy to address the countless diagnoses without a cure.
