The new human assembly, GRCh38, is now available to preview in Ensembl Pre!
The preview features mapping of features from GENCODE 19, RefSeq and our variation database from GRCh37 onto GRCh38. It is possible to upload your own data to the assembly. You can read more about the preview assembly in our blog.
We're still working on the full annotation of the genome, reannotating our genes and variants from scratch to ensure the best quality annotation possible. We plan to release the new assembly in full, along with a new regulatory build, in release 76 in July.
