  • Fundamental concepts and building blocks of deep learning
  • Deep learning applications in biological classification and prediction
  • Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) for image recognition and segmentation

  • Hands-on training using Python, Jupyter Notebooks, and Linux
  • Applications of deep learning to biological and -omics data

The five-day programme combines interactive lectures, practical hands-on exercises, collaborative problem-solving, and discussions with instructors. Participants will also have the opportunity to explore how deep learning can be applied to their own research questions during a dedicated post-course session.

No previous deep learning experience is required. Basic knowledge of Python is helpful but not essential.
