Tool: Tool to recover missing / inconsistent NCBI metadata - feedback welcome

If you/your team have ever tried to analyze or collect data from any public related database (e.g. NCBI) and realized metadata incomplete or inconsistent (e.g., missing country, unclear modern/ancient status, mismatched labels across papers or any type of metadata you need but they are missing/mislabel/messy)

To help with that, I built BioMetadataAudit tool to trace metadata back to the original papers and flag what’s reliable vs questionable. The tool is now self-serve.

Paste any NCBI BioProject, BioSample, or SRR accession and get structured metadata with confidence scores and source citations:

The product is early and would love to gain feedbacks. You can try it right away and share the link with anyone who has the metadata problem or work with metadata.
