Job: Bioinformatics Postdoc -University of Louisville

Full job description Description: Bioinformatics Core in the Brown Cancer Center at the University of Louisville has an opening for a FULL-TIME postdoctoral research position in bioinformatics and computational biology. The research project will be focused on the analysis of high-throughput sequencing data (RNA-seq, single-cell RNA-seq, CLIP-seq, etc.) and IMC data (CyTOF and Hyperion data). The candidate will also work on developing novel computational and statistical methods for the analysis of massive genome and transcriptome data. Highly motivated candidates with prior relevant experience are encouraged to apply. The position offers an excellent opportunity to conduct research in a stimulating environment and to collaborate with bioinformaticians, biologists, and cancer clinicians. Position Qualifications: The applicant should have a Ph.D. degree in one of the following areas: Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Statistics, Biostatistics, Computer Science, or other disciplines with a strong quantitative background. Knowledge in biology or genetics is desired but not required. The candidate should be familiar with program languages R, Perl, or Python. Salary Range: Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualification (following NIH postdoc stipend levels).
