News: online course (4th edition): Structural Variant Detection & Comparison

Dear all, We are excited to announce our upcoming online course (4th edition): Structural Variant Detection & Comparison.

Dates: 1–3 December

Structural Variants (SVs) play a key role in many diseases and phenotypes. In this 3-day training, you will:

  • Learn to detect SVs from short and long read sequencing data
  • Compare, filter, and annotate SVs
  • Work with trio/population-level VCF files
  • Explore strategies for assessing functional impact

The course combines introductory lectures with hands-on sessions using real genomic datasets. We will cover both assembly- and mapping-based approaches, ensuring participants leave with practical skills ready to apply in their own research.
