This is my first time posting here, so I'd really appreciate any help or insights you can share :)

I'm currently analyzing microbiome data alongside antibody titer measurements as markers of immune response. So far, we have analyzed the microbiome by categorizing individuals into "low" and "high" responders, but we wonder if this grouping overlooks potentially meaningful variation.

We are interested in treating antibody titers as a continuous variable. Does anyone have some experience working with this kind of data? Are there any recommended normalization techniques or statistical approaches to model titers when looking for associations with microbiome features (e.g. diversity, taxonomic abundance, functional profiles...)?

Any tips, methods or references would be greatly appreciated!
