How can we determine or find the insertion time of Numts?
I am using mtDNA PacBio data and I have data from different species based on location. I used the BLAST command to find Numts, and according to a rough estimate, there are about 9K Numts in some species and about 8K in others. My question is, how can we determine the insertion time of these Numts?
