This workshop covers modern applications of RNA-Seq technology, including de novo transcriptome assembly using tools like Trinity. Participants will learn to:

• Assess the quality of Illumina RNA-Seq data
• Assemble and quantify transcriptomes
• Perform differential expression analysis with Bioconductor
• Annotate transcripts using Trinotate
• Utilise PacBio IsoSeq for hybrid assemblies
