Where can I find mutation status in GEO?
Good afternoon,
I have downloaded the gene expression data of this dataset on GEO: GSE196576.
However, according to several papers (e.g. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC9093780/) , which use this data there should be information on mutation status available in the metadata, which I dont see.
I download the metadata from GEO via this command: getGEO(GEO="GSE196576",GSEMatrix=FALSE).
I cannot find any information on the mutation status (e.g. KRAS mutation) here.
Can anyone help me with this?

This info does not appear to be in NCBI sample records (e.g. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/geo/query/acc.cgi?acc=GSM5889734 ). Best bet may be to see if the paper has this info in a supplemental file.
