GEO database

Dears, I know from GEO documentation that "A GEO Series record is an original submitter-supplied record that summarizes an experiment. These data are reassembled by GEO staff into GEO Dataset records"

However, is it possible to find two different datasets have the same GEO series? Because while downloading some data from GEO using entrez_search and then entrez_summary, I found that for example these 2 datasets 200040925 and 200031812 have the same GEO series GSE40925

I really appreciate any help you can provide.

Can you double check your findings? When I search 200040925 and 200031812 from https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/ they return different GEO accessions, specifically 200040925 --> GSE40925 and 200031812 --> GSE31812
