Forum: My Project

I am Ajay, B.E Biotechnology Undergraduate student, computational biology enthusiastic. I am currently in my last year of my engineering and carrying out a real-time project.

Title: In silico approach to find out effective bio-active molecule that acts on FRD [Fruit Rot Disease] in Areca catechu Problem Statement: In the coastal belt of India along with various other regions of Arecanunt cultivation, farmers are facing a common postproduction loss that occurs due to a common disease called FRD. Conventionally many fungicides and Bordeaux mixture is being used. But the problem seems to be continued.

Description: This project includes literature survey on the disease and its related biomolecule, conventionally used chemical compounds. Further finding the binding efficiency of the chemical compound with the disease-causing organism's protecting layer. This is being carried out using Molecular Docking studies continued by Molecular Dynamic Simulations. At the end of my project, I will be out with a data that provides the score of binding efficiency and hence predicting the most effective molecule that acts on the FRD. This data can be used for the further studies.

I am open for the suggestions and discussions regarding this project. Contributors are appreciated.

It's your project, what work are you expecting anyone else to do?

And you're probably in your final semester with what, 3 months to go until graduation? You seem to be asking a question on the viability of your project, and it's a bit too late to be thinking about that IMO

I posted this so that I could connect with people with similar interests and projets.
