In reference to visualizing nucleosome positioning through MNase-seq data (Figure 3 and Figure 4 in https://link.springer.com/protocol/10.1007/978-1-0716-0301-7_5)

I understand the different fragments being plotted in the two plots but I would like to know the specific application for each of the images. What extra information does the dyad density plot gives from the average occupancy plot? I have seen quire a few publications with the nucleosome dyad plot but I'm not sure what difference it makes.
