Hi,
I'm receiving this output since 6:20 am UTC instead of the standard XML/JSON output when making calls to PubMed Eutils.
Output: {"error":"error forwarding request","api-key":"*","type":"api-key","status":"ok"}
similar question was raised a long time ago NCBI Eutils error forwarding request
Is this issue likely related to the NCBI website, or could it be something on my end? I'm unsure of how or where to check the status of their services.
I've already submitted a ticket to NCBI Help desk.

It looks like the issue has been fixed. We are getting XML/JSON outputs without any issues.

Getting the same error for my requests on the taxonomy database. It may likely come from NCBI's part if it's happening to more IP addresses.
Strangely, I'm also getting this error alternatively:
But I guess it's the same reason and an issue from NCBI servers.
Command line Entrezdirect is not working either. So definitely issue on NCBI end. As day dawns on east coast of US hopefully the problem will be fixed in the next few hours.
