News: Standalone NCBI ClusteredNR database now available for download

The experimental NCBI ClusteredNR database that has been available on the website is now available for download.

The package includes the #NCBIBLAST database, an SQLite3 database, and a script for accessing cluster information and members. The BLAST News has more information on how to use the database and the included scripts.

Do you know what is the minimum RAM required for searches with this? It will be an important piece of information people will want.

Thanks GenoMax . The minimum RAM needed to hold the ClusteredNR database would be 123GB. That's a little more than half of the amount needed (225 GB) for the parent nr database.
