We encountered a case involving samples of bacteriophages. Initially, PCR-based identification utilizing specific primers yielded classifications of Myoviridae/Felixo1 virus . However, subsequent sequence-based taxonomy through whole-genome sequencing unveiled divergent classifications of Siphoviridae and Kagunavirus for the two samples and Myoviridae and Vequintavirus for the other sample.
