How to resample contacts data to lower bins
I have HiC data with 250k bin length and the number of contact for each 250k bins, such as just the image attached below (example data for reference). Can I downsize the data into 5kb bins like finding a contact for every 5kb bin 0kb, 5kb, 10kb, 15kb, 20kb, and so on? If so how can I downsize the data? Will that be statistically relevant/significant?
Please guide me. Thank you!

No, you will have to calculate from the original data and set the bin to a smaller size.
