Dear community,

I want to study and understand the impact of fatty acids on mitochondria from cultured cells. However, there are few protocols and information on how to get a mitochondrial transcriptome and even proteome from these cells. I am not sure if I need to first isolate mitochondrial RNA using a commercial kit, and then normally perform RNA-seq with the Illumina platform. Is it possible? If you have information on protocols or articles, please kindly provide them. I would be very grateful.
