Dear all!

I'm running snippy v4.6.0 and I'm getting this error:

ln: failed to create symbolic link './ref.fa': Operation not supported

this happens when I use a either a fasta or a genbank reference. The original answer from Torsten Seeman to a similar bug in Snippy V4.0 was this:

But I don't know how to modify the general snippy script in such a way. Any help would be greatly appreciated

You will find the script called snippy in the bin directory of the software package. You will need to edit this text file (use a programmer's editor like NotePad++ on PC or textedit on macOS). Find lines 373 and 374 and change them to what Torsten has shown in the GitHub thread you linked. Save the file and they try.

Do not use word or any other editor that adds formatting code to documents.
